Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires Series #6)

Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires Series #6) - Another ball knocked out of the park by Ms. Neill. Thrilled to death that Ethan is back & here to stay, and oddly relieved that it wasn't automatically smooth sailing between him & Merit. They've been challenged and tested in so many ways throughout the series, it wouldn't seem right for everything to be sunshine & rainbows. And it's not. Once again, there are issues. Misunderstandings. Missed opportunities. And yet somehow, they prevail. Even better, they do so believably. By the end of the book, Ethan & Merit aren't just a couple - they are true partners. It's a beautiful thing to read, and sooooo worth the wait! But honestly, what I enjoy most about this series is Merit herself. She is the real deal - likable, loyal, honorable, and most important of all, she is true to herself. In "Biting Cold", she really shines. I particularly liked the way she handled the Mallory situation - it was a perfect blend of tough love & compassion. Can't wait for the next one!!!! :)
