Argh. There's a good story here, damn it, and I'm so frustrated I didn't enjoy it more! There was too much telling & not enough showing for me, too many inner monologues instead of conversation. And the romance....*sigh*. It was just suddenly THERE, before I had a chance to become invested in it. It's a shame, because as much as I could see the potential in the characters & the book itself, I didn't feel a connection :/ 2.5 STARS
